Wine Maker Notes: Saturated black-ruby to the rim. Brooding aromas of blackberry, licorice, violet, bitter chocolate, and spices. Sweet, smoky, and fine-grained, boasting considerable depth and power to its black fruit.


Vineyard: 3,300 feet above sea level. Trellis System: High vertical shoot position. Age of vines: 15-49 years old. Pressurized drip irrigation. Soil: Sandy loam, rocky bottom. Pruning: Double Guyot. 100% Sustainable.  Natural cover crop, no chemical fertilizers and herbicides. Production: 1.5 kg average per plant. Harvest by hand, using small plastic boxes during the last week of April.

Alcohol: 14.5% by vol.

Total Acidity (TA) 5.4 g/l (Tartaric Acid)

Aging: 100% aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

Cases Produced: 140 (750 ml bottles), 80 (1500 ml bottles)


Cellaring: While ready to enjoy now, this wine will age well for up to 6-8 years.
